Every writer needs an editor; there is something about the closeness of our own work that makes it impossible to see it with fresh eyes, however hard we try.
I’m here to help you identify the strengths in your work and magnify them, address the areas of improvement, and ultimately make your manuscript match the vision in your head.
In fiction, I focus on the genres I like to read and write myself: fantasy, horror, and historical fiction. In non-fiction, my specialism lies in sport/performance and history (see my About page for my backgrounds in both).

A more in-depth, bespoke service where I guide and coach you through the major stages of writing the book you have always wanted to write.
Over several sessions we will discuss the elements that together we identify as most needing input. This might be the developmental parts of the book (structure, pacing, setting, etc.) or, at the other end of the spectrum, granular aspects like your language style at sentence level. After each session you will have a clear idea of where to go next, with strategies to help you, and an invested teammate who will always be available to give advice and encouragement.
