Two of my favourite and most enduring things in life are language and sport. I have read books and loved language for as long as I can remember, and began competing at tennis at age six and later coached players of all levels.

My interest in the written word came through in my university course choices: I studied Classics and Medieval Cultures concurrently at Brown University, graduating with Honors with a thesis examining heroic identity in Norse mythology. I then practised as a solicitor for a top London law firm while writing my debut novel outside of work.

My tennis career also peaked at university, where I captained the Varsity team and learned a lot about what it means to be a teammate.

These unique elements have combined to give me an excellent skillset and, just as importantly, the coaching and teammate qualities to implement them in a clear and encouraging manner.
